No pencil underdrawing allowed. Every mistake had to become part of the page. Loosened up my linework more than months of "careful" practice did.
Finally nailing a barre chord
Six months of buzzing strings later, something clicked in my thumb position. Writing this down so future me remembers what actually fixed it.
Learning a piece by ear vs. by sheet
Tried learning the same short piece two ways in the same week. By-ear version stuck in memory faster; sheet-music version was more accurate. Probably need both.
The soup that finally used up the freezer
A one-pot experiment built entirely around whatever had been in the freezer too long. Turned out better than most planned recipes — writing down the ratio before I forget it.
